Bearing the name of His Majesty the late King Hussein of Jordan, who bravely faced cancer with dignity and courage, the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) was established in 2001 to provide the most advanced cancer care to both pediatric and adult patients from Jordan, the region and across the world. For more than 21 remarkable years, KHCC has been the first stand-alone, integrated, internationally accredited cancer center in the Middle East, treating thousands of cancer cases each year.

KHCC has been a lifeline for cancer patients seeking comprehensive cancer care from across the Kingdom and the region. Since its establishment, more than 65,000 cancer patients have received treatment at KHCC, with 25,000 patients currently undergoing treatment.

The Center treats thousands of patients from across the Arab world where 31% of the new cases at KHCC hailing from Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan and others, many of which are refugees. KHCC’s cure rates are comparable to those of international centers, and exceed 85% for pediatric patients. With the completion of its recent expansion, KHCC has increased capacity to accept over 7,000 new cancer cases and 250,000 outpatient visits per year.
